Welcome to the Centennial year of 2010, we will be helping Boy Scouts of America celebrate 100 years of Scouting but just as important we celebrate 100 years of scouting in Hawaii. What a great time to be a part of Scouting, so let the celebration begin! I would like to personally thank all those that assisted with improvements to camp last year. As I walk through camp I see the changes that are being made and I hope you take pride in knowing you were a big, BIG part of it. As I mentioned, this year we will celebrate 100 years of Scouting. This will bring many great events and opportunities for once in a life time experiences. We also have plans to use this year to continue to improve Camp Pupukea and as always we invite you and your unit to come to camp and be a part of a spectacular year. Camp is still in need of the following items and if you find yourself able to help with any of these or know someone else who can help, call Ranger Mac 366-4085: cement blocks to build ash pits (new item), paint, paint brushes, paint rollers, lag bolts, carriage bolts and nuts, bags of cement and lots of gravel. We are also looking for some special skills such as: welding.
