Camp Alan Faye - Island of Kauai 

Near Waimea Canyon - the "Grand Canyon of the Pacific"

Camp Alan Faye is located in the cool, high mountains of Koke'e State Park on Kauai, 13 miles up Mount Waialeale from the seaside town of Waimea. The camp is adjacent to the famous Waimea Canyon, a popular visitor attraction on the Garden Island. Kauai's Na Pali Coast is west of the camp where sea caves and white beaches are hidden away at the base of steep mountains accessible by rugged hiking trails. The area is rich with many of Hawaii's endangered species. Native Hawaiian trees, local plants and many wild birds are found throughout the area. A hike to the inspiring Kalalau valley lookout or the Waimea Canyon lookout can be a highlight adventure for the Scouts.

Camp Alan Faye provides primitive camping facilities for experienced troops seeking a challenging outdoor adventure for older Scouts. Camp Alan Faye has eight campsites with water and conveniently located latrines. A central shower facility serves the camp. Troops attending Camp Alan Faye provides their own food and equipment is available for rental. Rifle and archery ranges are very popular program features. A hike into inspiring Kalalau Valley Lookout or the Waimea Canyon Lookout can be a highlighted adventure for the Scouts.
