The Aloha Council, BSA is very pleased to be able to offer employment opportunities at Camp Pupukea. Camp Pupukea is a full-program camp with opportunities in aquatics, shootings sports, Scout skills, nature and crafts.

The minimum age requirements are: (refer to Position Preference)
- 14 for CIT (Counselor in Training, non-paid staff) – there are two CIT sessions
- 16 for full-time paid staff or 15 having completed one season as CIT
Paid staff under 16 years must provide a work permit from their home state
- 18 or 21 for directorship/leadership positions
Length of employment for 2016 summer season is:
- CIT staff – session 1: June 13 to July 9; session 2: July 3 to July 30, 2016
- Staff 16 to 20 years old – June 13, 2014 thru July 30 or August 3, 2016
- Staff over 21 (or leadership staff) – June 12, 2016 thru August 3, 2016
Applicants must be registered members of the Boy Scouts of America or agree to become registered before employment begins. All staff members must complete Youth Protection training and all training necessary for your assigned position.
As a camp staff member of the Aloha Council, you will be expected to set an example of excellence in Scouting, which includes the wearing of the assigned uniform, and adhere to standards of personal appearance. Staff members are expected to be mentors and role models for our Campers, and as such, the principles of the Scout Oath and Law must be practiced as a way of life.

All applicants will have an interview with the Camp Director, who will then determine the placement status of the applicant.
Salary is based on position responsibility with consideration given to the individual’s experience. Review the list of jobs, indicate three references, and complete the entire application. Two letters of recommendation are required for applicants that have not been employed in the past.
Every applicant who is employed will be required to submit a completed Health and Medical Record, W-4 and HW-4 forms, and an Employment Eligibility Verification (I-9) form. The I-9 form will require that you provide proof of your eligibility to work in the US, including your SSN card.
