National High Adventure Bases


Northern Tier National High Adventure Program 
This adventure base, located in the beautiful lakes of northern Minnesota and southern Canada, offers hiking, fishing, and cold-weather camping. From June to September, Northern Tier offers Scouts and Venturers the world's best wilderness canoe expeditions. 

Florida National High Adventure Sea Base
Dive into an amazing Florida Sea Base adventure. Sea Base offers aquatics programs like snorkeling, SCUBA, sailing, fishing, and beach camping in the Florida Keys.

Philmont Scout Ranch
Philmont is the original Boy Scouts of America National High Adventure Base and covers about 215 square miles of rugged mountain wilderness. Located in northern New Mexico, this high-adventure base offers a variety of rugged activities, including backpacking treks, horseback cavalcades, and training and service programs. Volunteer leaders may attend the Philmont Training Center each summer for a week-long conference.

The Summit Bechtel Reserve
It's a 10,600 acre adventure center for the millions of youth and adults involved in the Boy Scouts of America and anyone who loves the outdoors. The Summit Bechtel Reserve is the Boy Scouts of America's newest high adventure base and permanent home of the National Scout Jamboree, located near the New River Gorge in West Virginia. With incredible facilities and intense outdoor programs, The Summit is a place that takes scouts to the limits of what they think they can do and then goes further.
