The Council Annual Recognition dinner is held annually to recognize the volunteers of the Aloha Council. The highlight of the evening is the presentation of the Silver Beaver Award.
SILVER BEAVER AWARD
| The Silver Beaver Award is the highest form of recognition that a local council can bestow upon a volunteer for distinguished service to youth. In 1931, B.S.A. President Mortimer L. Schiff recommended to the National Board that an award be devised for recognition of distinguished service to youth in the area of a local council and the concept of the Silver Beaver recognition was established. The Aloha Council has participated in this recognition program since its inception, presenting the Silver Beaver Award to more than 700 adult leaders in our Council. In 2012, our Council plans to recognize additional leaders whose nominations have been submitted and approved. The recipient’s names will be released in early January! |
